Lo sapevate che....water chestnut

Assetata di sapere che cosa ho mangiato ieri nelle tortine thai mi sono documentata.
Ecco a coi le water chestnut: "The edible tuber of a water plant indigenous to Southeast Asia. Its brownish skin resembles that of a true chestnut but the flesh is white, crunchy and juicy. The flavor has a hint of sweetness. Popular in Asian cooking."
Dalla foto non e' che ti fanno venire tanta voglia di mangiartele, ma non sono male.
